What are your policies for cancelations?

Cancelation Policy: all cancellations must be processed no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment date & time. Otherwise the card on file will be charged in full as penalty of taking away opportunity for other paying clients. Getting sick does not void this policy, this policy is in place to protect business from ANY kind of last minute cancelation.

No-Call-No-Show's: the card on file will be charged in full should the client not show up for the scheduled appointment time.

Late Policy: due to scheduling being back to back, a late client will receive only the time left available within their scheduled time slot at full price.

An average tip for a massage therapy session will range between $15-30. or 20%--35% of service charge.

Please book online via the "book appointment" button at the top of my website. I require ALL clients to put a card on file to secure their appointments. You will not be pre-charged. After you book you will get a confirmation email; READ THE ENTIRE EMAIL and fill our the intake paperwork.

When you arrive we will redeem the Groupon Voucher before starting the session. IF you no show or cancel last minute; that is within less than 24hrs of appt date/time. I will take your voucher number from the intake paperwork you filled out after receiving the confirmation email, as the no show/cancelation fee.

Should you NOT fill out the intake paperwork right after booking your appointment I have no way of knowing you were a "groupon client" so I will charge the card on file, in full.

NO refunds.

Your typical massage will range from $1-$3 per minute. Service providers do not work by an hourly wage but rather by service type and or by the minute. Most therapists will only work on 4--6 bodies in a day as this is a labor intensive career path, we went to school for this knowledge and honed skill, you are compensating the therapist for their bodies energy given to you, their education, their supplies used in your services (rent of their office, hot towels, oils, creams, pain relief creams, tools, etc..) By investing in a therapist and taking care of them well, they are able to take care of you with longevity.

To receive a full body massage, one must not have any fabrics, jewelry or other clothing items on in areas that wish to be massaged. Dress down to your comfort level means...

  • take everything off including bra, underwear and jewelry/watches

  • OR if taking the underwear off is a little to uncomfy for you, leave the underwear on but take everything else off.

It is easiest for the therapist to massage with a "blank canvas" allowing for fluid massage touch and technique.

Reminder! you will always be covered modestly under the blanket and sheets.

I am a firm believer that a deep tissue massage DOES NOT NEED TO HURT. The last thing I want is for my client to jump off the table or yell out because I went too deep. Deep tissue is NOT about Pain = Relief.

Deep tissue massage is about slowing down, digging deeper into the muscles. Moving from the superficial muscles to the deep supporting muscles. It's about connecting to your breath so that the muscles expand and contract, as I press firmly/deep into the muscle fibers and letting the muscle tissue move around my hand or tool as your breath changes the density of your muscles tension.

  • Please arrive clean, if you were at the gym prior to our session please take a shower prior to arrival for your appointment. IF your feet are very dirty I will not massage them.

  • Leave the jewelry at home to save the hassle of taking it on and off. (suggestion)

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Hydration is crucial for an effective massage treatment.

  • Silence your phone, put work away, let your mind rest.

  • Arrive 5-10mins early to enjoy some tea and quiet time before we begin.

Yes! It is my married name! I was blessed with a man with a cool last name. ;)

There is a layer of connective tissue that wraps around all of our muscles, acting as a casing that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber and muscle in place. This layer is both fluid and solid, it is called fascia. When we become repetitive or stagnant in movement, areas of the body can produce fascial tension due to lack of movement or excessive use of the same movements. This creates adhesions (knots) in the fascial layer which is that "crunchy" stuff you feel.

Massage therapy can alleviate this tension as well as a daily yin yoga/fascial stretching practice can release and realign tissues.
